The twins who contain multitudes. Mercury-ruled, luminous and restless – a sign that moves between worlds with ease, holding contradiction as a form of intelligence.
She speaks in ideas. But her depth is quieter than that. Pearl for the woman who carries more than she says.
The twins of Vedic astrology, ruled by Mercury. In Jyotish, Mithuna holds the tension of opposites – curiosity and stillness, lightness and depth. A round freshwater pearl is set by hand into the figure, the surface rendered in sandblast texture. In Ratna Shastra, Pearl is associated with the Moon: the emotional body, memory, and the tides of feeling.
Stone note: Pearl is the traditional Western birthstone for Gemini. The classical Jyotish gemstone for Mithuna, ruled by Mercury, is emerald (Panna).
