In Vedic tradition, a flower is never only a flower. The lotus rises from mud and opens above the water untouched, which is why it is tied to the crown chakra and to spiritual clarity. The Parijata, according to legend, falls from the cosmic ocean and blooms only at night. The fragrant Sonchampa has been offered in temples for centuries, its perfume believed to reach the divine before the flower itself arrives.
I grew up around these stories. In my family's workshop, flowers appeared on wedding jewellery, on temple ornaments, on pieces made for daughters leaving home. So when I began designing our new collection, I asked myself a question that stayed with me for months. What if the gemstones themselves became the petals, rather than sitting beside them?
That question became Pushpa Ratna (पुष्प रत्न), which translates from Sanskrit as "flower jewel". It is my new gemstone flower jewellery collection, crafted in 18K gold vermeil over 925 sterling silver, with amethyst, peridot, aquamarine, rose quartz and citrine forming the blooms. Gold becomes stem and vine. Light takes the place of fragrance.
Pushpa Ratna is a collection about growth. Its thirteen pieces follow the complete life of a flower, and each stage mirrors a moment in a human life. Here is the whole journey, bloom by bloom.

The first reaching. A young vine never grows in a straight line. It bends, climbs, and searches for light. I designed the Vallari earrings, sculpted in gold with amethyst, for anyone navigating uncertainty and learning to trust that every twist still leads forward.
PARIJATA · पारिजात · THE CELESTIAL BLOSSOM
The miracle. Parijata is the flower said to fall from the cosmic ocean, blooming only at night before greeting the dawn. These huggies, set with aquamarine, amethyst, citrine and peridot, honour the beauty that appears when hope survives the night.
KAMAL · कमल · THE LOTUS
The awakening. Rooted in mud, the lotus rises untouched to bloom in stillness above the water, the flower of the crown chakra and of spiritual clarity. The Kamal earrings unfold in aquamarine, amethyst, peridot, rose quartz and citrine, for those choosing peace over chaos without forgetting where they began.

Curiosity becomes the path. Anvesha is for the explorers, the ones who ask why and follow the answer wherever it leads. Discovery is a stage of blooming too.
PHULWARI · फुलवारी · THE BLOSSOM
The Rabari tribe of Gujarat has carried their wealth on their bodies for centuries. Nomadic by nature, they wore their silver as spheres, heavy and luminous, swinging at the throat as they moved across the desert. Phulwari is the word Rabari women use for the floral motifs sewn into their embroidery, the flower garden carried on cloth, on silver, on the body itself.
TITLI · तितली · THE BUTTERFLY
Transformation through movement. The butterfly exists because the flower does, and the flower spreads because the butterfly travels. Titli celebrates change that arrives on wings, gently and completely.
SONCHAMPA · सोनचम्पा · THE FRAGRANT ONE
Inner beauty revealed. For centuries, the Sonchampa has been offered in temples, its scent travelling ahead of its petals. This piece belongs to those whose presence is felt before it is seen.
KORAK · कोरक · THE BUD
Hidden potential. A bud makes no announcement, yet everything the flower will become already lives inside it. Korak is a reminder that potential renews itself, season after season.
