On Friday, 2nd October, Nimmisha celebrated her very first anniversary. That day, I opened the doors to a wonderful group of guests, women entrepreneurs and creators who joined me in celebrating the moment. I invited a small group of women building businesses across fashion, beauty, wellness, hospitality and lifestyle.
The place
The setting was built to feel like the brand itself: warm, layered and rich in texture. La Fête styled the table using tableware and linen by Duchess & Butler. Kuit Design brought the botanical elements to life with sculptural gloriosa lilies and dancing orchids, arranged in individual vessels so the flowers moved along the table with a natural rhythm rather than sitting in one static centrepiece.
Our jewellery was placed throughout the space alongside the table, so guests could find pieces at their own pace across the afternoon.

Ayurveda at the table
Guests arrived to a bespoke Kapha Spark cocktail, built around pomegranate and ginger and topped with Prosecco. It takes its name from the doshas, the three constitutional principles of Ayurveda. Kapha (कफ) is the heavier, more grounded of the three, and in Ayurvedic practice ginger is considered a warming ingredient often used where kapha is thought to need lifting. That is the kind of detail I like to build into a day: a small piece of a system that has been in use for thousands of years, served in a glass.
Lunch was three vegetarian courses. Charred aubergine with raw tahini, date molasses, pomegranate and pistachio, followed by a garden vegetable risotto, and a chocolate cardamom delice to finish.
The piece everyone went home with
Each guest received her own Rashi sign necklace. The Rashi Collection is twelve pendants, one for each sign of the Vedic zodiac, made in 18K gold vermeil over recycled 925 sterling silver.
Giving the pendants rather than showing them was deliberate. A piece of jewellery that holds your sign is only interesting once it is yours, and the question of which sign it should be is a good one to sit with. If you have never checked your Vedic placement, our Rashi calculator will give you your Moon sign in under a minute. It is worth doing before you assume you know the answer.
Radhika Sethi then spoke on astrology, which took the conversation into identity and symbolism and the various ways we try to understand ourselves. Feather Ink designed the invitations and menus, then joined us on the day for live sketching, so every guest left with something made for her in that room. Alexandra Moss photographed the afternoon, and Nulla Studios filmed it.

The afternoon was about more than the businesses these women are building. It was about the stories, heritage, beliefs, and intentions sitting behind them, and about how rarely founders get a table where those things can be discussed openly. We will be doing it again.
Nimmisha's Letters
Thank you for being with me through this first year.
None of this would have happened without you: my friends, my supporters, my clients, and everyone who has been part of this journey.
If you would like the longer version of these stories, I write about Jyotish, Ayurveda, gold, and the thinking behind each collection in Nimmisha's Letters.
